As we gear up for 2022, we are pleased to announce that a public employee collective bargaining bill will be introduced in the Colorado General Assembly.

To help faculty understand the pending legislation and to learn how we can help make this a reality, we have invited bill sponsor Representative Daneya Esgar, Majority leader in the Colorado State Assembly, to join us for a virtual town hall.

Public employee collective bargaining is not guaranteed by federal or state law. The pending bill would extend to all public employees in Colorado rights and protections enjoyed by employees in the public sector.  Obtaining these protections would institutionalize the voice of the faculty in the governance of MSU Denver. This is within our reach.

Please join us for this virtual town hall and please share this invitation and the attached flyer with any faculty that you think may be interested in this exciting development. Like all of our town halls, this meeting is open to all faculty, regardless of their membership status.
